As Outside Magazine and Outside Television we have had a lot of opportunities over 36 years to pursue all kinds of outdoor adventures… and we have. But I will say in all that time I cannot ever remember having had such overwhelming, totally positive across the board feedback from the entire Outside team as we had with the Mike Wiegele heli-skiing experience. Mike’s personal story of how he started the MW Heli-Skiing operation is a book and someone should write it. What he has created is exceptional. You hear about how great it is well before you arrive for the first time and like most things you think it will not be able to live up to the accolades …but in fact it surpasses everything you heard. If God is in the details he must have spent a lot of time at Mike’s place. The one word that the Outside team used most often to describe our experience was EPIC…and as a result we are all still suffering a month later from PHD (Post Heli Depression).
