August 31, 2017 Long-Live the Tour De Blue!

Tour 2017

For those who are forever young at heart, age has no bearing. Over the past two decades, Mike Wiegele and his close friends have made the 512 km Tour De Blue cycling trip from Banff to Blue River an annual event in August, to kick start the Wiegele’s Get Fit for Winter program. According to Mike, this trip inspires the team for the upcoming ski season and pushes everyone to stay young.

“It keeps us alive!” smiles Mike. “It keeps us strong and motivated for winter.”

Following the annual adventure through the Rocky Mountain Parks, was Mike’s 79th birthday at Saddle Mountain Restaurant. According to Mike, the trip gets a little longer every year. However, it’s a journey he always looks forward to.
