November 17, 2018 Winter Weather Forecast for Season #49

The Blue River weather forecast this season is calling for an El Niño and the powder machines are blowing hard. Our Mt. St Anne weather station has recorded over 100 cm so far… and we are expecting more snow to fall over the next week! 

According to MWHS Operations Manager Bob Sayer, December consistently offers light, bottomless and nonstop powder conditions to Wiegele World. Early season skiing in Blue River is something he says everyone should experience. 

 “My favourite month to ski in Blue River is December and early January, because that is the time when you are most likely to get bottomless powder,” says Bob. “The temperatures are nice and cold… and it snows nearly every day.  It’s tree skiing time with deep light snow and tree skiing in Blue River can’t be beat!!!”
