Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing’s Heli Village and Albreda Lodge offer some of the most convenient and reliable access in the heli skiing industry. There are many options to travel from your destination to Blue River, BC.

PLEASE NOTE:  Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing waives responsibility for trip cancellation or interruption resulting from any travel option listed.  Flying into Blue River is highly dependent on good weather and visibility. Blue River is in a mountainous area with constant weather changes. Pilots may encounter adverse conditions including wildlife, fog, clouds, rain, snow, wind, or an icy runway. At present there is no instrument approach; however, an RNAV Instrument approach into Blue River is nearing approval by Transport Canada. If the scheduled aircraft cannot land in Blue River due to any of these conditions, delays will consequently incur and connecting flights could be affected. Alternative ground transportation will be provided. Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing takes no responsibility for any flights into Blue River and waives any responsibility for trip cancellation or interruption. We highly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance.

Our Courtesy Shuttle hosts pick up guests on Saturday mornings at the following locations.The Courtesy Shuttle takes approximately 2.5 hours to drive the 214km (133 miles) from the Kamloops Airport to Blue River.  It arrives at the resort approximately 12pm.
NOTE: Travel times are subject to change due to weather. Please plan connecting flights accordingly.

PRIVATE PLANE TO BLUE RIVER

Blue River has a 5,000 foot paved landing strip (uncontrolled aerodrome) located 1 km north of the Heli Village. No fueling or maintenance service is available.
