Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing is pleased to offer a one of a kind Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Level 1 course. Designed to introduce basic ski instruction, participants embark on a 4 day course that includes a helicopter transfer to the mountain and use of Snowcat with on-board video analysis. Successful candidates will be certified with the CSIA to teach beginner skiers. Course cost is $689. Meals and accommodation are available at $60/person/day, based on double occupancy. The Spring Kids Ski & Snowboard Camp is offered to participants aged 5-16 years. The camp is designed for children of all abilities and skills. The program will offer instruction by Ski Guide and Ski/Snowboard Instructors with full CSGA & CSIA certification. All participants will be flown by helicopter to Saddle Mountain and then transported by Snowcats. Each child will receive personal training and introduction to backcountry and mountain safety, environmental sustainability education and - of course - FUN!. Helmets are mandatory and each skier/rider is required to arrange their own equipment. Reception and Safety Orientation will begin the evening of Friday - April 2nd and on-mountain training will begin on Saturday.

Transworld Snowboarding.com announces Johnny Lyall as the snowboarder who had the honor of opening the celebrations of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Johnny was also one of 4 riders who were featured in the epic big mountain footage that was filmed in our backyard last April that was televised to an estimated audience of 1 billion people.
